Last week, Amazon released an update to the Kindle app for iOS that brought a welcome feature. For supported eBooks, the sidebar now includes a Table of Contents, giving readers immediate access to chapters of the book.

In addition to saving an intermediate click, this interface allows a reader to browse through the contents of the book without losing her place and without making use of the back button.

The best part? If you’ve created your eBooks with Vellum, they already contain everything the Kindle app needs to display the Table of Contents in the sidebar. It’s part of how Vellum automatically creates your Table of Contents.
